Angkas Certification ID for Married Couple is Now in Effect in Cagayan Province
CAGAYAN PROVINCE – An Angkas certification ID for the married couples to allow them to ride a motorcycle in tandem is now effective in a barangay in Appari.
In the ease of community quarantine in many parts of the country, more activities are now allowed, including the permit to allow some residents to return to their work. Several industries going back to their operation but only 50 percent of their workforce is physically present.
Mass transportation also resume, but social distancing is still strictly enforced on vehicles. But for motorists, many travelers are calling on authorities to allow for extra travel exemption especially for married or live-in couples.
Meanwhile, the local government of Aparri, Cagayan, heard the call of motorcycle drivers. In a Facebook post, it appears that the city has issued IDs and certificates for married couples and living-in to allow them to ride a motorcycle in together.
In the ID, both the picture and name of the couple or partner are included. The ID also states that they are married or live-in partner, this they will present at checkpoints so they will be allowed to pass through.
For the sake of authenticity of ID, Barangay Toran has also put a dry seal of the barangay. The ID also states that this is valid until the national government does not lift the existing community quarantine.
Meanwhile, citizens in other areas under the GCQ are also requesting a modified community quarantine (MECQ) which will also issue IDs for couples especially now that many have returned to work.
