Cagayan Covid patient dies and this makes 6 corona-related deaths.
CAGAYAN COVID PATIENT – A COVID-19 patient in Cagayan De Oro in Misamis Oriental dies as confirmed by Department of Health – Region 10.
From 52 confirmed cases of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the Philippines, the number climbed up to 64 now as the Department of Health (DOH) revealed and confirmed 12 new cases. And as the infected rises, the death toll related to the virus as rose to 6.
The Department of Health – Region 10 confirmed on Friday, March 13, that a patient who tested positive of the virus died in Cagayan de Oro City in Misamis Oriental. This patient is also the first COVID-19 case in Mindanao.
The patient is referred to as Patient 40 (PH40) and died at 9 p.m. while still being confined at Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC). Accordingly, the blood pressure of the patient dropped to zero on FRiday morning but the medical staff were still able to revive him. However, eventually, he died.
PH40 has no travel history of going abroad but has been working in an office located in Pasig City which also has an office in San Juan City. San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora indicated on Friday that San Juan has nine (9) COVID patients.
The symptoms of PH40 started showing last February 24, has a vacation in Iligan City on March 3, and suffered difficulty in breathing due to severe pneumonia on March 8. He tested positive of COVID-19 on March 11, and died this Friday, March 13.
