According to BI Intelligence chief Fortunato Manahan, Jr. the agency continues to coordinate with its foreign counterpart to prevent illegal foreign workers from entering the country.
“We see this as a cause for concern. Our frontliners will heighten efforts in screening arrivals to ensure that no undesirable aliens enter our shores,” Manahan added.
Commissioner Morente placed the Travel Control and Enforcement Unit and the Border Control and Investigation Unit under the control and management of the Intelligence Division to serve as an external check and balance to monitor the airport operations.
