Is October 31, 2019 Declared A Non-Working Holiday?
OCTOBER 31 – We will now confirm whether or not October 31, 2019 was officially declared a non-working holiday, in lieu of the upcoming holidays.
According to Kami, there are some Filipinos who are quite confused whether or not Oct. 31, which is Thursday, was declared a non-working holiday.
President Rodrigo Duterte made Proclamation No. 555 that the two dates November 1 and 2, which most Filipinos celebrate the All Saints’ Day and All Souls Day, were declared non-working holidays.
This was further tweeted by the Philippine News Agency on August 16, 2018.
As of this moment, based on the report, there are no official declarations from the government, especially from President Duterte, that Oct. 31 is considered a non-working holiday.
However, there was a time last year that the Palace suspended all government office works on the afternoon of the same day for them to travel during the 2-day holiday. This implies that this year might be the same.
The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) already granted special permits to public utility buses (PUBs) to tend to many passengers travelling during the break.
