#WalangPasok: Malacañang Declares June 24 As Holiday In Tabaco, Albay

June 24 Declared as Holiday in Tabaco, Albay by Malacañang

MALACAÑANG – The Palace declared June 24 as a holiday in Tabaco, Albay.

The highest body that can declare holidays in the Philippines aside from the regular ones observed yearly is the Palace or the Office of the President.

Usually, the Palace declares work and class suspension in a certain day for the safety of the Filipinos. This happens in the face of natural calamities like typhoons.

Aside from such causes, the Palace also grants holidays for the celebration of certain events or the commemoration of the birth or death of a certain person in the past.
