PCG Reports An International Ship is Currently on Fire Near the Reed Bank
INTERNATIONAL SHIP – The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) reported that a ship near Reed Bank was found on fire.
Recently, a news report about a scenario in the ocean near Reed Bank or Recto Bank crossed the surface.
Based on a recent report from ABS-CBN News, the Philippine Coast Guard received a report that a ship was found burning near the Reed Bank.
The MV Diamond Highway was allegedly from Singapore and is bound for Batangas carrying at least 25 passengers. It is supposedly a car carried and owned by K Line.
According to PCG Spokesperson Captain Armand Balilo, 25 passengers of the burning ship were rescued by Canupos Leader, a bulk carried that happened to pass by the area on its route to Thailand.
The PCG is trying to contact the owner of the ship on fire but there is no response yet. Also, they have already sent the BRP Cabra to do a search and rescue operation over the incident.
As of this writing, there are still no other information over the matter.
