Dead Oarfish Found in Coastal Area of Inopacan, Leyte

A deep-sea creature called Oarfish has been found dead at the coastal area of Brgy. Tahud, Inopacan in the province of Leyte.

Over the past few years, the appearance of oarfish in shallow waters was linked to natural calamities such as earthquakes and tsunami.

Some people believe that this sea creature is a prophet of doom and its occurrence in shallow waters indicates an impending calamity.

Recently, a Facebook user named Niño Darnie Beldad Donayre has posted the photos of dead oarfish found in Brgy. Tahud, Leyte.

In the photos, it can be seen that the residents are staring and checking the size of the deep-sea creature.
