GSIS SALARY LOAN – Here are the steps on how to apply for a salary loan to the Government Service Insurance System.
In the Philippines, the employees in the government agencies and sectors are insured under the Government Service Insurance Program or more commonly known as the GSIS.
The GSIS is a social insurance program run by the government. It was established by the Republic Act No. 8291 and the Commonwealth Act No. 186.
If you are a member of the GSIS, there are several privileges and benefits that can aid you even in emergency cases. One of these benefits is the GSIS Salary Loan.
The GSIS Salary Loan could be availed through the Enhanced Conso-Loan which consolidates the following:
- Salary Loan
- Restructured Salary Loan
- Enhanced Salary Loan
- Emergency Loan Assistance
- Summer One-Month Salary
Who are eligible for the GSIS Conso-Loan?
According to GSIS, a member who has no pending administrative and criminal cases may be eligible for the Conso-Loan provided that he or she is not on a leave of absence without pay and has a net take-home pay of not less than the amount stated in the General Appropriations Act.

How to Apply for the GSIS Salary Loan?
To apply for the GSIS Salary Loan, you may either do it personally over the counter or you can also have it through G-W@PS Kiosk which can be found in all the 57 branches of GSIS nationwide.
If you wish to do it at a GSIS Office Branch, you may follow the steps below:
Step 1 – Go to the nearest GSIS office or branch and obtain a copy of the GSIS Enhanced Consolidated Salary Loan Plus Application Form. You may also download it online through the official website of the social insurance program.
Step 2 – Fill-in the GSIS Enhanced Consolidated Salary Loan Plus Application Form with accurate and factual information.
Step 3 – Read the Terms and Conditions stated in the GSIS Enhanced Consolidated Salary Loan Plus Application Form.
Step 4 – If you agree with the Terms and Conditions in the loan application form and want to proceed, sign it and provide your TIN number. You must also indicate the date when you accomplished the form.
Step 5 – Go to any GSIS main office or branch and file your application for the GSIS
You may also apply for the GSIS Salary Loan through the G-W@PS Kiosk. Most of the branches of the social insurance program have it.
