Message of DepEd To Teachers, Staff Over 2019 Election
DEPED – The Department of Education released a message to the teachers and school staff over the upcoming 2019 election.
The 2019 election is fast-approaching this May and many are surely contemplating now on who they will be voting for a certain position.
Several politicians and aspiring politicians have previously filed their certificate of candidacies and many people have already expressed their support to their bets for the 2019 election.
On the part of the civil service employees and DepEd officials, teachers, and school staff, there are considerations over the election. That is what the recent message of the department to the teachers and school staff contained.
Based on a recent social media post on the Twitter page of ABS-CBN, DepEd reminded the officials, teachers, and school staff not to engage in any partisan political activity.
Furthermore, officials, teachers, and school staff are also reminded not to solicit votes for a certain candidate or party in the election, promote or make speeches against any candidate, and to receive contributions.
Sec. Leonor Briones also stressed in her message to the department officials, teachers, and school staff not to publish materials for or against any candidate or wear election paraphernalia bearing the name of a candidate.
