Here’s a Bagyong Marce update from the latest weather bulletin of PAGASA.
BAGYONG MARCE UPDATE – State Weather Bureau PAGASA has this update about Marce which is now within the Philippine area of responsibility.
“MARCE” FURTHER INTENSIFIES OVER THE PHILIPPINE SEA EAST OF BICOL REGION.
In the latest bulletin of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) about Marce, its center was found 740 km East of Virac, Catanduanes at 4 PM on November 4. It has a maximum sustained winds of 85 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 105 km/h.
At present, it moves west-northwestward at 30 km/h, and as of this writing, no wind signal is hoisted. As it moves north, the trough will be bringing rain over the Extreme Northern Luzon and the eastern section of Luzon starting today or Tuesday. The wind signal during the occurrence would be Signal No. 4.
The northeasterly wind will be bringing strong to gale-force gusts in these areas, especially in coastal and upland:
- November 4: Batanes, Cagayan including Babuyan Islands, Isabela, Ilocos Norte, Aurora, and the northern portion of Quezon.
- November 5: Batanes, Cagayan including Babuyan Islands, Isabela, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Aurora, Quezon, and Camarines Norte.
- November 6: Ilocos Region, Quezon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and Catanduanes.
It will continue to move northwestward until November 5 and continue in the west direction at a slow pace. Marce will make landfall in the Babuyan Islands or mainland northern Cagayan on Thursday evening or early morning of November.
Marce is expected to reach the severe tropical storm category tonight or tomorrow morning and the typhoon category by tomorrow evening or Wednesday early morning.
Meanwhile, Leon PH, a super typhoon, was the last to hit the Philippines and worsened the situation of many as it came after Kristine battered the country.
