Suspect Behind Cotabato City Mall “Blast” Surrenders To Authorities

COTABATO CITY MALL – One of the suspects behind the “blast” of a shopping mall in Cotabato City on December 31, 2018 surrendered to the authorities.

On December 31, 2018, when it was supposedly a happy day for most people, several families were left grieving following a “blast” in an area in Cotabato City.

The incident happened outside a Cotabato mall and it left two people dead and at least 30 individuals wounded. An investigation was conducted and the SITG released the photos of the suspects.

Reportedly, the photos were taken by the CCTV cameras of South Seas Mall and were posted by Jonathan Andal on social media.

Based on the report, the local government unit of Cotabato City offers a half-a-million reward for the arrest of the suspects behind the incident.

Based on a recent report on ABS-CBN News, one of the two suspects of the Cotabato City mall “blast” has surrendered to the authorities.

Soccsksargen Police Director Chief Supt. Eliseo Tam Rasco expressed that the 56-year-old resident of Cotabato City yielded to the authorities after seeing himself on news reports being tagged as one of the suspects.

On the other side, based on the report, the police found evidence against the 56-year-old suspect who was spotted at a lottery outlet and a comfort room together with the other suspect behind the incident.
