Latest Weather Update On Saturday (Sept 1) Released By PAGASA
The state weather bureau PAGASA has released the latest weather update in the country on the first day of September 2018.
On Saturday (September 1, 2018), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported that some parts of the country would experience a rainy weekend.
PAGASA said that a low-pressure area was spotted at 200 kilometers north-northeast of Borongan City, Eastern Samar.
The trough of the LPA would bring rains over Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Bicol Region, Mimaropa, and the Visayas.
Rain would also affect Metro Manila while the rest of the country would have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.
Senior weather specialist Chris Perez said that the weather bureau was also monitoring typhoon Jebi packing maximum sustained winds of 205 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 255 kph.
Perez said that Jebi was not expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
The weather agency also advised the residents living in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flashfloods and landslides.
