Over the past few months, Boracay Island has been the headlines of several local news outlets and social media pages after President Duterte ordered its closure to the tourists.
The famous haven has been temporarily closed to the tourist to allow the government to restore and rehabilitate the island.
The country’s top tourist destination has been closed on April 26, 2018, and expected to reopen on October 26, 2018.
The government has already started the rehabilitation and doing their best to present a newer version of Boracay Island after six months of restoration.
Recently, the Twitter page “News5 AKSYON” has shared the photos of the government’s effort within three months of rehabilitating the popular tourist spot.
In the photos, it can be seen that the employees are constructing new roads, removing wastes, and planting mangroves.
The photo also shows the gradual improvement of Boracay Island.
