DOT Sec. Puyat Affirms Erwan Heussaff Only Wanted to Help PH over ‘Buhay Carinderia’ Project
BUHAY CARINDERIA – Chef and celebrity food blogger Erwan Heussaff is going to return the money paid to him as a talent fee for the controversial Buhay Carinderia project.
Former Tourism Promotions Board (TBP) Chief Operating Officer Cesar Montano’s Buhay Carinderia project was recently suspended. Based on a report, the suspension of the project came after almost 90% of the P80-million budget for the project was allegedly released though it is still far from being completed.
Furthermore, there are also questions with regards to the bidding process. Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat has already requested the Commission on Audit (COA) to probe the controversial Buhay Carinderia project.
According to the DOT Secretary, its running won’t continue until the COA gives the results of the probe.

Celebrity food blogger and chef Erwan Heussaff’s name was undeniably dragged into the issue. As per a report, the husband of Kapamilya actress-television host Anne Curtis served as the content creator of the project.
Anne has previously broken her silence on the issue and assured that for her husband, it is always about pushing for the Pinoy food. According to her, she just told her husband that as long as he knows his intention, he does not have to worry about it.
