PAGASA Releases Update on Typhoon Basyang
TYPHOON BASYANG – The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has released an update about tropical storm ‘Basyang’.
Currently, several areas in the Philippines are experiencing a rainy weather due to typhoon ‘Basyang’. Cl(–foul word(s) removed–) were even suspended in some parts of the country as the tropical cyclone warning signal rose to number 2.
Based on a report in CNN Philippines, the PAGASA has recently released an update about tropical storm Basyang.
Reportedly, it is stated in the 8:00 am bulletin of PAGASA that the storm was spotted 80 kilometers northeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur as of 7:00 o’clock in the morning today. It has made its landfall on Cortes, Surigao del Sur.
According to the report, typhoon Basyang is taking a northwest movement at 25 kilometers per hour. The tropical storm maintained its strength with maximum winds of 65 kph up to 80 kph.
