Jay Sonza Reacts To Columnist Jojo Robles’ Facebook Post
JAY SONZA – Former broadcaster Jay Sonza slammed former President Benigno ‘Noynoy’ Aquino III and Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista over Times Street gates issue.
Recently, columnist Jojo Robles posted on his social media account the statement of Quezon City Mayor Herbert ‘Bistek’ Bautista over the planned closure of the Times Street.
According to Robles, the interview happened after several attempts of trying to get the side of the Mayor and his spokesperson over the matter. In his post, the columnist stated that the Mayor expressed that the huge Times Street gates “will not be closed except for ‘national security’ reasons”.
Former Pres. Noynoy Aquino is living on Times Street. He is residing in the house built by his late father Benigno ‘Ninoy’ Aquino Jr. for his mother former Pres. Corazon ‘Cory’ Aquino.
Based on the post of Robles, the huge gates were requested by the local barangay chairman who recently passed away.
“The village head, in turn, was acting upon the urging of his constituents in the neighborhood, who have noted the increasing number of protest actions in front of the Aquino home,” the columnist stated.
Robles also wrote that Mayor Bistek that it was not former Pres. Noynoy Aquino or his sister Kris Aquino who asked for the building of the gate. According to the Mayor, only the officials of the barangay of West Triangle and the volunteer forces can order for the closing of the gate and not the police or the private security guards.
Based on the post of the columnist, he forgot to ask Mayor Bistek why the neighbors of the former President did not ask him to move out from their place if they hated seeing protesters.
