“Of course we will reach out to the minority. Hindi naman ito majority lang, but it is the Senate who vote of twenty four senators,” said Gatchalian.

He further reiterated his commitment to engaging with fellow lawmakers, especially those belonging to the minority bloc.

“I’ll definitely reach out to all of our colleagues, especially to the minority.”

Gatchalian also expressed his gratitude to the senators who supported and trusted him enough to elect him as the Senate President. According to him, the Senate remains focused on its legislative responsibilities despite recent political developments.

Importanteng susunod naman ‘yong Commission on Appointments.

The new Senate leader noted that several long-pending measures have already been addressed, highlighting the chamber’s continued commitment to legislative work. He also pointed out the significance of the upcoming proceedings of the Commission on Appointments, particularly concerning several military officials whose appointments have reportedly been delayed due to recent events.
