A former production intern had this claim against Willie Revillame
Wilyonaryo host Willie Revillame was the subject of this conversation on the podcast Walang Edit Edit, hosted by Leland Lim.
Willie went through ups and downs in the entertainment industry. He had a humble beginning in showbiz, doing small roles. His fame skyrocketed when he became a noontime show host.
Eventually, he was able to have his own show, which also indicated the rise of his status in the entertainment industry. Years later, he is now considered one of the richest celebrities in the Philippines.
However, Willie also has his fair share of controversies. He received bashing for reprimanding his staff on air. When he decided to run for senator in the 2025 midterm elections, a new wave of bashing was thrown at him.
Just recently, a former production intern of Willie Revillame’s show made a revelation on a podcast. The host asked the production assistant if he had seen Willie.
He revealed that they were prohibited from looking at the veteran TV host, and this garnered a unified shock reaction from everyone else present on the podcast.
“Wag mo syang lapitan, kapag nagkasalisi kayo, umiwas ka ng tingin talaga,” the former production intern shared, adding that their supervisor will be fired if this happens.
Since they were not allowed to go near Willie or look at him directly, they were more prohibited from talking to him.
The former production intern also shared that he was the one who was handing the jacket to the staff member who was handing the jacket to Willie. The veteran TV host was known for his “bigyan ng jacket yan!”
Willie would give away jackets to contestants and the members of the audience during his show. When asked about the quality of the jacket, the former production intern revealed that it was “di siya maganda.”
As of this writing, Willie Revillame has yet to react to this claim from a former production intern.
