Vice Ganda laments the current situation of public transportation in the Philippines.
ABS-CBN superstar Vice Ganda has this to say about the public transportation in the Philippines and how it affects the people.
A quality life is what Filipinos deserve. However, instead of hearing better plans to improve the lives of the people, we hear news about massive corruption and government officials stealing our money. Some were also focused on other things instead of seeing the problems and addressing them.

Recently, in the new episode of It’s Showtime with Vice Ganda and Anne Curtis, the hosts lamented the current miserable situation of public transportation in the country. With the massive increases in fuel costs in the previous weeks, people with cars would likely choose to take public transportation, but because of the dire situation, they have to stick with their cars and suffer the big-time cost increases.
How about those with no choice? They are left to suffer every day, traveling to and from their homes, fighting for their lives amid an apocalypse-like situation in the MRT and LRT.
“Alam mo, gugustuhin natin lahat na mag-public transpo kung maganda ‘yung public transpo natin,” says Anne, who, despite the miserable situation, is still hopeful that one day, there’ll be someone who can make real changes in the country because this is possible in other countries.
“Kawawa ang mga tao ngayon sa LRT at MRT. Akala mo may apocalypse na nangyayari sa dami. Kawawa ang mga tao ngayon. Kawawa tayong lahat… Hindi maganda ‘yung kalidad ng buhay natin. Mahirap. Mahirap siya talaga,” said Vice, supporting Anne’s claims.
Meanwhile, President Bongbong Marcos promised Filipino commuters that they can expect improved public transportation in late 2025. Marcos emphasized that the government is also focused on long-term solutions through major infrastructure projects, including the Metro Manila Subway and MRT-7.
