Robin Padilla said that his fight againsst crime will be bloodier than in FPPRD’s time
Senator Robin Padilla said that he would target criminals, if he became the next Vice President of the Philippines.
Padilla started his political career in 2022 when he ran for senator and topped the race. Even though there had been a massive amount of criticism for his first stint in the political arena, the votes he got during the last presidential election proved that his supporters spoke louder than his critics.
As the 2028 elections are less than two years from now, speculations have been circulating regarding politicians who will run for the national position. One of these speculations is that the “Bad Boy of Philippine Cinema” will run for vice president. There had been anticipation that he would be the running mate of Vice President Sara Duterte, who declared her presidential candidacy last February.

Even though Sen. Robin Padilla had previously expressed that he will no longer run in the 2028 elections, his supporters kept on encouraging him to seek reelection or run for a higher position.
In an interview on the Bilyonaryo News Channel’s “Politiko Talks” program, Sen. Robin Padilla said that he is aware that not many people would want him to be vice president.
If ever he will become the vice president of the Philippines, Padilla said that he will focus on fighting crimes. “Kasi, unang-una, ang hihingin ko diyan kay Inday (VP Sara) – kapag naging presidente – e pagpapatayin ko ulit ang mga kriminal para magsama na kami ni Digong doon [sa ICC],” he said.

The senator also said that he would like to lead the anti-crime commission. He also stressed that he will become more rigid than how former President Rodrigo Duterte was during his presidency.
Mas magiging mahigpit ako [sa kriminalidad] kaysa kay Digong—bloodier,” ani Padilla. “Kaya sabi ng mga anak ko, ‘Oh no! Delikado,” he said.
Sen. Robin Padilla had this aim because he believed evil deeds are so rampant nowadays. “Ang paniwala ko talaga, masyado nang maraming demonyo dito sa ating bayan,” the actor-politician said.
