One of the few artists who sustained a solid career in the show business industry, as evident with her awards, recognition, and iconic projects, is Angelica Panganiban. She has been working since she was a child.
From her early days as a child star, she steadily evolved into a versatile actress without relying on a love team. She carved out a successful path on her own, an achievement worth celebrating, especially in an industry where being part of a love team is often seen as a requirement.
As a seasoned actress now, there was one thing she noticed about the newbies, which she was able to experience a few times. According to her, not all of the newcomers were too proud based on her experience and observation.
She shared that in their time, it was always the younger ones who showed respect to veteran actors, something she feels is sometimes lacking today. She admitted feeling disappointed when newcomers don’t take the initiative to greet senior artists first. While gestures like “beso” aren’t necessary, she emphasized that showing simple respect and acknowledgment should still be practiced.
“Hindi mo naman kailangang mag-beso eh, di ba? Parang nayayabangan lang talaga ako dun… Ano ba naman yung mag-Hi ka?” she said.
Meanwhile, Angelica is married to Gregg Homan, and they now have a daughter, an absolute social media darling, named Amila, whom they fondly call Bean. Their first wedding was in California, and among those who attended were the close friends of the actresses Kim Chiu and Bela Padilla. It was very intimate.
Months later, they held a bigger, island wedding that gathered a bigger crowd to witness their special day.
