Inka Magnaye spoke about the bashing she received due to her ex-boyfriend
Social media personality and voice talent Inka Magnaye slammed her basher, who criticized her because of her ex-boyfriend, who works in the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
Inka’s relationship with Mat Crespo caught the attention of the online community back in 2025. It was because of a comment on social media stating that Inka, known for being vocal about her political beliefs, was silent about the flood control issue.
To recall, several politicians and public officials were under fire last year when the issue of the anomalous flood control projects exploded.
In the statement, Inka Magnaye defended her then-boyfriend. She stressed that Mat Crespo was also against corruption and that he was a legitimate taxpayer.
Just recently, the social media personality shared a post on her Instagram story featuring a comment from a basher who criticized her for being silent about the flood control issue because of her “boyfriend.”
Inka replied, stressing that he did not want to be reminded of her ex-boyfriend. Then, she pointed out that it was her ex-boyfriend who was being accused, but she was the one receiving the hate.
She also said that she posted about this, and it was not he fault if the netizen did not see it. Inka added that she can do nothing about other people’s opinions.
The social media personality added a caption to this. “You have a problem with my ex working in the government? Take it up with HIM, not me,” Inka Magnaye shared.
She also stressed that Crespo is a grown man and she is not his spokesperson, wife, keeper, or caretaker. Inka added that she should not be criticized when she was not even the one accused.
“There are people out there who were friends with the children or corrupt contractors but you’ve already let them live their lives, so why keep punishing me for an accusation that wasn’t even directed at me?” Inka stressed.
