DONALD TRUMP – The United States President vowed that the war in Iran will “be ended soon” amid a warning over the global oil supply.

The airstrikes recently-carried out by the United States and Israel against Iran have stirred global concern. It ignited fears for civilian safety and the broader consequences of escalating tensions in the Middle East. The Middle East war resulted in the death of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei which gathered different opinions.

In the Philippines, the escalating tension in the Middle East has left both the government and ordinary citizens anxious about rising oil costs. Expecting sharp pump price hikes, many Filipinos rushed to gas stations to fill their tanks in an effort to stay away from the looming increases.

Fuel prices in the Philippines has indeed started climbing big today. Amid the concerns on the global oil supply, U.S. Pres. Donald Trump claimed that the high oil costs will allegedly be “short-term”. He also issued a stern warning to Iran.

“I will not allow a terrorist regime to hold the world hostage and attempt to stop the globe’s oil supply. And if Iran does anything to do that, they’ll get hit at a much, much harder level,” Trump said.

President Trump declared that Iran would be struck “at a much, much harder level” if it disrupted oil supplies to other countries. His warning came after initially assuring the public that the surge in pump prices would be temporary.

Furthermore, the U.S. President stressed that Washington is committed to safeguard the stability of global energy markets. According to him, he will not allow any attempt to halt the flow of oil worldwide.

Recently, amid the global concern on the impact of the war in Iran, U.S. Pres. Donald Trump said the conflict will end soon. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the war has left crude rocketing to past $100 per barrel which is its highest since Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022.

However, based on the report, the statement of Trump over the nearing ending of the Middle East war came with an indirect warning. He made the remarks during a news conference in Florida.
