In a video, singer Kris Lawrence recalled this moment after a confession of Alvin Aragon went viral online.
While past actions have consequences, sincere repentance and meaningful change can open the door to reconciliation and personal growth. Previously, an old video of
“StarStruck” alum Alvin Aragon, confessing to stealing from Kris Lawrence in the past, surfaced and went viral online.
At one point, he accordingly broke into Lawrence’s house to steal his phone and money from an unnamed showbiz colleague.
“Nagnanakaw ako ng cellphone din. Si Kris Lawrence, yung singer, ninakawan ko ng cellphone ‘yun sa bahay niya. Meron pang isa eh, co-worker ko sa showbiz. Kinuhanan ko siya ng almost ₱40,000 sa bahay niya,” he recalled, but added that with his faith and after centering his life to God, he changed.
In a video, Lawrence confirmed that Aragon indeed stole his phone in the past. However, he is uncertain of the motive behind this confession. This happened when he was just starting his showbiz career.
Kris was reportedly extremely upset at the time because his phone was costly. He remembered that the stolen phone was a Sony Ericsson P900.
“I got mad. To make the long story short, nag-sorry naman siya. Of course, with a heavy heart, I said it’s okay, but sobrang bad trip ako noon. Sino ba naman ang hindi maba-bad trip? He stole my phone in my own house, like, that’s very foul. I met him that day lang actually at the club. I met them at the club, it was in Tomas Morato Avenue. We didn’t know each other,” he shared.
He has forgiven him already and already forgotten this incident, but his video made him remember everything. He doesn’t know his intention behind this, or if what he did is just an attempt to come clean.
Kris asked if it was a testimony meant to highlight transformation, repentance, and spiritual growth.
The singer aired, “Is it a testimony? ‘Coz, you know, when you’re Christian, I know there’s testimonies and it’s, like, a part of the story. How he was before and how we changed. So, I don’t know if that’s what he maybe doing.”
