Man Who Disrespected Kathryn Bernardo Standee Now Traumatized, According to His Partner
The man who went viral for disrespecting the standee of Pinay actress Kathryn Bernardo has now been identified.
On February 20, 2026 (Friday), two men inside a bank branch in Moalboal, Cebu disrespected the standee of Kathryn Bernardo. The issue quickly spread like wildfire on social media and garnered various reactions from the online community
In the photos, the men were seen doing indecent acts toward a life-size standee of the popular actress. Many netizens were upset after seeing the photos, calling the behavior disrespectful and unacceptable.
As the post gained attention, the Facebook page “Circle of Stars” shared the identity of one of the men involved. He was later identified as Argie Buaya. After his name circulated online, he became the target of harsh comments and public criticism.
His live-in partner, Rhea Paquera, reached out to the page and asked for a leaked photo connected to the issue to be taken down. She explained that her partner has been deeply affected by everything that happened.
According to her, he did not expect the photos to be posted publicly. She said it was a co-worker who uploaded the images without his permission. She also shared that he had already told his co-worker not to post them because it was not allowed in their workplace, but the warning was ignored.
“One of the guys in that picture is my partner, and he is traumatized right now. Hindi na niya alam kung anong gagawin kasi pinost lang naman ng katrabaho niya nang walang paalam sa kanya,” Paquera said.
“Sinabihan na niya yung katrabaho niya na huwag i-post kasi bawal ’yon sa work nila, pero wala siyang kaalam-alam na pinost pa rin talaga ng katrabaho niya,” she added.
Since the incident went viral, Argie has reportedly been struggling emotionally because of the intense online bashing. While many believe he must face the consequences of his actions, others point out how damaging online shaming can be to a person’s mental well-being.
