MARCOS JR. – The President called on the Catholics to let the devotion to the Black Nazarene “guide the way we think, act, and help”.

A huge population of Filipinos is composed of individuals who are Roman Catholics. Today, the Catholics hold the Traslacion 2026 and there roads that are closed for the religious event that usually gathers thousands of Filipinos who join the procession of the image of the Black Nazarene.

Today, as Catholics hold the Feast of the Black Nazarene, Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. gave a message for the devotees. He called on the Catholics to let their devotion to the Black Nazarene guide the way they think, act, and help other people.

“As we mark this year’s Feast, I invite everyone not only to reach for the Nazareno’s image, but to let this devotion guide the way we think, act, and help one another long after the procession has passed,” the President said.

Marcos Jr. further expressed that if we can go through great lengths to be able to touch the image of the Black Nazarene, “we can also persevere in the daily work of choosing honesty over falsehood, service over self-interest, and compassion over indifference”.

Based on the report, Pres. Bongbong Marcos hopes that the Feast of the Black Nazarene will led in the shared commitment of supporting one another, ensuring fair access to opportunities, and keeping hope alive in our daily endeavors. “May this celebration deepen our shared vow to carry one another’s burdens, share opportunity more fairly, and keep hope alive in the everyday choices that we make to build a more humane and faithful Bagong Pilipinas,” Marcos Jr. said.
