Young Boy Breaks Down in Tears After Receiving Hollow Blocks as Exchange Gift
A young boy cried uncontrollably after getting a hollow block and a women’s blouse as his exchange gift.
Recently, Carnice Fam’s Vlog, a Facebook user, shared a video of her son crying hard after receiving a hollow block and a women’s blouse as his exchange gift at their Christmas party. The post garnered various reactions from the online community.
In the video, the boy can be seen sobbing after opening a large gift box that he excitedly carried home from school. Inside the box were half hollow blocks and an old women’s blouse, far from what he expected during the holiday celebration.
According to the child’s mother, the gift was still wrapped in a big box, making her son believe it was something special. He even carried it home himself, sweating from the weight but feeling proud and excited to surprise his parent.
Unfortunately, that excitement quickly turned into heartbreak once the box was opened.
The mother shared that the agreed amount for the exchange gift was P200. Seeing her child cry while holding a gift that did not meet the agreement deeply affected her. The boy reportedly could not stop crying and even wanted to message his teacher, confused and hurt by what he received.
Parents online reminded others that Christmas parties and exchange gifts happen only once a year and should be moments of happiness for children. They stressed that following agreed rules, especially gift value, is important to avoid hurting young feelings.
