Authorities Arrest Dismissed Policeman After Stealing Motorcycle in Bacolod City
A dismissed policeman was arrested after allegedly stealing a motorcycle in DECA Homes Subdivision in Bacolod City.
On Wednesday (November 19, 2025), a dismissed policeman was placed behind bars for stealing a motorcycle at DECA Homes Subdivision in Barangay Cabug, Bacolod City. The incident quickly caught the attention of local authorities.
Based on information from Bacolod Police Station 9, the suspect was identified as 46-year-old Wenefredo Casuyon Jr. He was a former member of the Philippine National Police and a resident of Glendale Homes Subdivision in Barangay Granada.

The station commander shared that they received a report of a carnapping incident at around 12:40 a.m., prompting officers to respond to the area immediately.
According to the report, the motorcycle owner, 19-year-old Jofranz Mier Anduyan, was surprised when his Suzuki Raider FU, which was colored red and white, suddenly started without anyone using the key.
It caused him to check what was happening, only to discover that someone was trying to take his vehicle. He quickly sought help from the subdivision guard, who assisted in stopping Casuyon from exiting the area with the motorcycle.

Further inspection revealed that the former police officer had cut the ignition wires, allowing him to start the motorcycle without a key. The clever method enabled the suspect to operate the vehicle as if it were his own.
Casuyon entered the police force in 2010 and previously held the rank of Police Officer 1. However, his career ended after he was dismissed from service due to cases involving physical injury and theft of motorcycle parts.
As of this writing, the arrested suspect is held at Bacolod Police Station 9 and will face a case of carnapping.
