Chavit Singson On Palace’s Reaction To His “Remove the President” Remark

Chavit Singson was asked about his “seditious” remark

Businessman-politician Chavit Singson had this statement when asked about the reaction of Malacanang Palace regarding his “remove the President” remark.

Singson joined the September 21 rally against corruption. However, the businessman-politician was booed. Rallyists did not welcome him and hated his presence during the call to end corruption.

During the rally, he was asked about the crowd’s reaction. He said that it was because rallyists had different intentions in joining the rally. For him, there should be just one goal, and that was to oust the President.

Following that striking statement from Chavit Singson, the Palace said that he may be held liable for inciting to sedition.

Palace press officer Claire Castro called out to the Department of Interior and the Local Government, Jonvic Remulla, acting PNP chief Lt. Gen. Natartez Jr., and the Department of Justice to examine Singson’s statement against President Bongbong Marcos.

In a recent ambush interview, based on the report from ABS-CBN News, he was asked about his controversial statement about PBBM. The businessman-politician initially said that it was not the proper place to speak about that issue.

He said that he has to answer a lot of questions because he was attacked. Singson also said that the spokesperson of Malacanang is now like an attack dog.

Kung may katotohanan lahat ng sinasabi nila sa akin, magpapakulong po ako,” the businessman-politician said, adding that statements against him were just fabricated.

“Ikulong nila ako, patayin nila ako, wala yan sa akin, ok lang,” Singson said when asked about reports that he is being investigated because of his “seditious” remark.

When asked if there were groups that approached him regarding the supposed coup d’état, Chavit Singson said that he did not want to talk about this because his effort to help the transport group might be mixed with politics.
