Bea Binene talked about her new movie project
Actress Bea Binene shared her thoughts on her first solo female lead role in the horror movie Posthouse.
Bea is one of the child stars in the Philippine entertainment industry who continued their careers as they got older. She became a teen star, and in recent years, she ventured into hosting as well.
After so many years, Bea was given a chance to have her first movie in which she is the solo female lead.

In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, Bea Binene could not help but gush over this big break for her. “Nakakatuwa po. Siyempre nakaka-proud, nakakakilig. Nakaka-excite,” she said.
This movie, the directorial debut of movie editor Nikolas Red, also features Kapuso actor Sid Lucero.
Bea also said that it makes her heart flutter that people would watch this. She has been in the industry for 21 years already, but it is her first time being given a female lead role.
It is her face that was featured in the movie poster. She described their movie as a “film within a film.” It tackles how a movie is being made.
Bea said that it was her first time seing a film with Maviola editing. “First time ko na makakita nang ganoon, umaandar na kapag pinapanood mo yung film, tumutunog. Siyempre yung mga generation, yung mas younger, maganda na makita nila kung paano gumawa ng mga pelikula noon. Hindi lang puro digital,” the actress shared.

This film was created based on the 1927 film Ang Manananggal, the first-ever Filipino horror silent film, which featured Mary Walter and was directed by Jose Nepomuceno.
In the movie poster, this was stated: “In 1927, the first Filipino horror film was completed. Soon after it vanished. No one ever saw it again. Now the film has been found, and what was sealed within has awakened.”
Director Nikolas Red shared that he has not seen Ang Manananggal because its copy or the film negative is nowhere to be found. This was the reason why writers Jericho Aguado and Kenneth Dagatan were able to come up with a story based on this.
