Nationwide Firecracker Ban Postponed By President Duterte
President Rodrigo Duterte postpones the nationwide firecracker ban that will prohibit anyone to use firecracker during Christmas and New Year season.
The nationwide firecracker ban is too late to implement this year, so President Duterte plans to impose the ban next year for some groups have already purchased their firecracker product for the New Year celebration.
After arriving from Peru in attending the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Leaders’ Summit President Duterte visited the tomb of his parents and made his announcement. The president wants to celebrate Christmas without the noise from firecrackers.
The president also said that the ban is too late to be implemented this year because manufacturers have already bought raw materials for making firecracker, instead he will implement the ban next year.
