The arrest of the Duterte patriarch earned Pres. Bongbong Marcos a lot of criticisms. Malacañang even defended Marcos Jr. amid the ‘betrayal’ accusations saying that the government only did its job.

Following the arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte, Sen. Imee Marcos left the Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago endorsed by her brother, Pres. Bongbong Marcos. She stressed that there seems to be no due process in the arrest of the former President.

According to Marcos, the recent actions of the Philippine government on the arrest of Duterte do not align with her ideals and principles in life. She is one of those who hope for the immediate return of the former President to the country.

Recently, Sen. Imee Marcos took to social media a campaign ad with Vice Pres. Sara Duterte. It is called the ‘ITIM’ which means “Inday Trusts Imee Marcos” and the campaign has black as the official campaign color.

Based on a report on Inquirer, Malacañang Press Undersecretary Atty. Claire Castro claimed she thought that the Imee Marcos-Sara Duterte ‘ITIM’ advertisement is a 2022 campaign ad.

“Oh, I thought it was a 2022 campaign ad because it appropriately described the previous administration,” she said.

According to the Palace Press Officer, the past admin can be allegedly described as “intensely black”. Castro claimed that the country is now headed towards a brighter state under the Marcos administration.

“It might not be that white, but it’s on its way to becoming white,” the Malacañang Press Officer said.

Based on the report, Castro claimed that the country is on its way to achieving whiteness and it just needs a little more bleaching. Amid the Senate investigation led by Duterte and her pronouncements, Duterte’s common-law wife Honeylet Avanceña sees Sen. Imee Marcos’ probe as a gimmick.
