De Lima And Her Alleged 7 Colleagues Charged With Drug Trafficking
Drug trafficking was charged to Senator Leila De Lima and 7 others alleged as her colleague, they were thrust into a legal battle on October 11, 2016.
On Tuesday, the president of Complainant Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption filed a case against the former DOJ secretary. A complaint about “sale, trading, administration, dispensation, delivery, distribution and transportation of illegal substance.
The complaint was punishable under section 5 and the attempt of doing those illegal activities was punishable under section 26. Here is the name of the complaints that was linked to De Lima as her colleagues.
-Francisco Baraan III, a DOJ undersecretary who supervised the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor);
– Franklin Jesus Bucayu, former BuCor Director;
– Ronnie Palisoc Dayan, De Lima’s former driver-bodyguard, and her alleged ex-lover;
– Jaybee Sebastian, a high-profile NBP inmate serving two life terms for kidnapping for ransom and carjacking;
– Joenel Sanchez, a member of the Presidential Security Group (PSG) formerly detailed to De Lima; and
– Jose Adrian Dera aka Jad De Vera, reportedly a nephew of De Lima and also served as one of her guards; and
– Col. Wilfredo Ely, a former staff of Bucayu.
