PAGASA Says Amihan and Shear Line to Bring Rains Over Parts of Luzon
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that the northeast monsoon and shear line will bring heavy rains over Northern Luzon.
On Wednesday (December 4, 2024), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The northeast monsoon and shear line will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA weather specialist Rhea Torres reported that some areas in Northern Luzon are expected to experience downpours due to the northern monsoon and the shear line.
The shear line will bring moderate to at times heavy rain that may affect the eastern section of Northern Luzon particularly in the Cordillera Administrative Region, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, and the rest of Cagayan Valley.
Cloud clusters brought by the northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with isolated rains in Batanes.
The localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers over Metro Manila. Fair weather conditions are expected over the rest of the country with the possibility of sudden or brief downpours, according to PAGASA.
