Sara Duterte On Forgiveness: “Hindi po talaga ako magpapatawad”

Vice President Sara Duterte highlights the essence of forgiveness but is not willing to give it.

This Christmas season, Vice President Sara Duterte called people to be “forgiving, giving, and loving” in a speech.

The themes of love and forgiveness are especially poignant during the Christmas season. It is not just the season of giving and sharing but also a season of reflecting and connecting with the people we love.

In a speech, PH Vice President Sara Duterte called out people to highlight the “forgiving, giving, and loving” this Christmas season. She accordingly needed to as someone who holds the second highest position in the country, however, she herself is not willing to forgive.

She did not drop any names but she will not forgive.

“Lagi ko pong sinasabi na depende po ‘yan sa tao pero dahil ako as vice president, kailangan kong sabihin sa inyo na ‘yan po ang mensahe at diwa ng Pasko. Pero po ako hindi po talaga ako magpapatawad,” the vice president expressed.

This was during the gift-giving event of the Office of the Vice President in Lagawe, Ifugao on Tuesday, December 3.

As much as we all, the VP has been in conflict with Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Jr., her 2022 election running mate. They had a fallout and currently, there’s a tension between these two people in command.

To recall, in November, Duterte publicly aired threats against Marcos. As per her statement, she had hired someone to end him if she died first. The other people she had contracted with someone to kill if death meets her first are First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos and House Speaker Martin Romualdez.

Because of these threats, she was subpoenaed by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI). After her remarks created a loud buzz online, she insisted that her remarks were “taken out of its logical context”.

The vice president is also facing impeachment raps because of her offices’ alleged misuse of confidential funds and other issues. Recently, she was slapped with the second impeachment complaint.
