New CIDG Chief Torre Promises to Continue the Investigation into Quiboloy & the “Angels of Death”
QUIBOLOY – PNP-CIDG Director PBGEN. Nicolas Torre III promises to continue the investigation into Pastor Apollo Quiboloy and the “Angels of Death.”
The newly appointed acting director of the police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) stated on Friday that he will continue to intensify the investigation into the accusations against the Kingdom of Jesus Christ and its leader, Apollo Quiboloy.
Police Brigadier General Nicolas Torre III mentioned that they have been building a case related to human trafficking allegations involving Quiboloy and KOJC’s so-called “Angels of Death.”
“Hinahanap natin ang mga palatandaan na nandoon ang kanilang mga anak (sa loob ng compound). May mga parents ng missing persons na ang feeling nila ay nandoon sa loob at hindi naman nawawala ng tunay ang kanilang mga anak, kung hindi nandoon lang, hindi lang pinapalabas,” Torre explained.
According to the report, he CIDG is also preparing to file charges of sedition and obstruction of justice against KOJC members and other individuals accused of sheltering Quiboloy, as well as those who blocked the national highway in Buhangin district.
Torre further mentioned that evidence for court proceedings, including two fire trucks, two cranes, and several cars, had been confiscated after allegedly being used to obstruct the highway during the protest.
“Maghintay na lang sila ng summon or notice galing sa korte para sila ay makapagbigay at sumite ng counter-affidavit sa aming complaint affidavit,” he said.

Despite his reassignment to CIDG, Torre assured he will remain actively involved in the KOJC investigation and will continue to prioritize this matter.
According to the report, Torre also noted that he was previously assigned to CIDG in 2020, where he worked on contact tracing investigations.
NO REWARD YET?
Meanwhile, the head of the KOJC operation said he still doesn’t know whether the reward money has been distributed to specific individuals.
He further mentioned that he is unaware of who would receive the bounty.
“Hinihintay ko pa yung advise kung paano at kung kanino ibibigay yan. Anyway, may task force naman kasi eh,” he said.
“Ang intelligence buildup, actually, ay nasa ibang unit ng PNP. At hindi ko rin alam, baka mamaya, dahil nga ang intelligence talaga na ginamit ko ay napakaganda, baka naman ang reward ay ibinigay na nila doon, at hindi na nila sinabi sa akin because well, it’s not really my concern,” he added.
Prior to the police operations, the PNP had announced a P14 million reward for information leading to the capture of Quiboloy and his co-accused.
