Parent of Student Scolded by Deceased Teacher Breaks Silence

The parent of a student who was scolded by the deceased teacher breaks their silence and warned the netizens.

In Davao, a mother named Diane Impas Omapas has addressed the blame directed at her following the tragic passing of an elementary teacher, Marjorie Boldo. Many online users pointed fingers at Omapas, suggesting that her complaint against the teacher led to immense stress, which resulted to Boldo’s death.

The incident started when Omapas sought clarification from Boldo regarding why her son did not receive first aid after hitting his head in class. During a meeting with the principal, Boldo revealed that she suffered from hemophobia, a fear of blood, which prevented her from treating the injury.

Following this, Boldo expressed her disappointment in a class group chat, prompting Omapas to file another complaint against her.

Unfortunately, the complaint was never resolved, as Boldo passed away shortly after. Omapas maintains that she should not be blamed for the teacher’s death, emphasizing that her intentions were not malicious.

Omapas is considering legal action against those who have posted negative comments about her online.

The Department of Education in Davao de Oro has launched an investigation into the circumstances about Boldo’s untimely death, aiming to uncover the full story.

Boldo’s family believes that the emotional toll from her principal, Alvin Escobar, scolding her publicly after the incident contributed to her declining health.

After dedicating 31 years to teaching, the public criticism deeply affected her sense of worth and commitment to her profession. Although she carried her emotional pain quietly, her family did not fully understand its severity.

Following her hospitalization, Boldo passed away on September 19, 2024.
