Recently, the Facebook page CSPC Confessions shared the frustration of an anonymous sender after a tricycle driver dropped her off far from the agreed destination, leaving her stranded in an inconvenient area. The post garnered various reactions online.
The incident happened on the evening of September 5, when the passenger, who was waiting for transportation outside her boarding house, was picked up by a tricycle driver. She had originally planned to take a multicab to the terminal in Iriga, knowing it would be difficult to find a ride to her final destination.
When the tricycle driver offered to take her to the terminal, she agreed, even willing to pay extra for the service.
However, upon reaching Iriga, the driver unexpectedly stopped at a grocery store and informed her that he wouldn’t take her to the terminal as they had discussed. Despite her request to be dropped off at a more central location like Gaisano, the driver refused, leaving her with no choice but to get off and pay for the incomplete trip.
The commuter expressed her disappointment, saying that if the driver couldn’t fulfill the original agreement, he shouldn’t have taken her in the first place. The unexpected drop-off caused her anxiety to flare up, as she was left feeling vulnerable and unsafe while walking alone at night.
The sender hopes that her experience will serve as a warning to others and that drivers will be more considerate in the future, ensuring that passengers are taken to their agreed destinations without unnecessary inconvenience or dishonesty.
