Lady Customer Slams Local Coffee Shop Over Hidden Charges
A lady customer expressed her disappointment after being charged P800 for parking fee at a local coffee shop.
Recently, Jevina De Guzman, a Facebook user, shared her disappointment at a coffee shop asking for P800 parking fee for two vehicles. The post quickly went viral and sparked a lot of reactions online.
The incident happened when Jevina and her group visited the coffee shop to check the place for an upcoming birthday celebration. They spent only 10 to 15 minutes there, looking around and assessing the ambiance.
Despite not ordering anything or staying long, they were surprised to find a hefty parking fee of P800 for their two cars.
The situation got even more frustrating when the security guard suggested that they could avoid the parking fee if they ordered at least P1,000 worth of food as they felt trapped with no prior warning about the high parking charges. The guard’s comment seemed like an attempt to force them into making a purchase to cover the parking cost.
Jevina’s post pointed out that the parking fee was unusually high, especially since other places only charge around P300 for parking if it exceeds two hours. She also criticized the lack of clear signage about the parking fee, which made it difficult for first-time visitors to be aware of the charges. The small, hard-to-see sign did not provide adequate information.
Despite eventually spending over ₱1,000 on food, the establishment did not grant the senior citizen’s discount. It adds to their frustration and left them feeling that the experience was not worth the cost.
The post spread like wildfire on social media, with many people sharing similar experiences and criticizing the coffee shop for its policies and customer service.
