Is this Vice Ganda throwing shade at the viral TikTok video of Jinggoy Estrada?
In the recent It’s Showtime episode, Vice Ganda joked about something that’s related to the current issue of Senator Jinggoy Estrada.
“Huwag niyo akong hino-hoy. Porke senador kayo?”
This was what the woman said to Senator Jinggoy Estrada in a viral video. The woman bravely faced the senator and they were in the middle of a conflict. The video went viral after he was cleared of one count of direct bribery and two counts of indirect bribery in connection with the pork barrel scam.
In a previous article, Senator Estrada explained the video and revealed that it actually happened last April of this year. He defended himself against the criticisms he received online and explained what happened.
According to him, he visited an evacuation center. Still, after a long time and with lots of explanation that was done, they were not allowed to go inside to personally give his assistance to the victims of fire. He handled the situation himself but the discussion elevated and created more tension.
The video of the senator went viral online and in the recent episode of It’s Showtime, host Vice Ganda used the context for his joke.
Regine Velasquez visited the show as it was the birthday of her husband Ogie Alcasid and Vice quipped this to her, “Huwag mo kong ma-hoy-hoy. Bakit? Porket Songbird ka?”
It received laughter from the audience as the context seemed familiar. The superstar comedian then added, “Napanood ko lang yung video!”
Some of the viewers laughed at the joke but some also realized that Vice is updated of the recent happenings online, the viral topics, and about the politics as per the comments under the video. As much as we all know, this is not the first time that the ABS-CBN star did it.
To recall, amid the height of Alice Guo’s hearing where she expressed that she can’t remember much about her childhood and her alleged link to illegal POGO operations, Vice found someone who looked similar to the mayor and this also created a loud buzz online.
