House Deputy Speaker Camille Villar is preparing to increase public awareness about her for future plans. Speaking about future plans, this is about seeking higher positions as recently, it has been confirmed that she will be running for a senate position in the next year’s election.
A part of her preparation are the tarpaulins of her plastered along EDSA and other highways reminding the motorists to drive safely.
This has initially sparked the speculation about her running for a higher position which has been finally confirmed by his father. Former Senate President Manny Villar, who is also the richest man in the Philippines, announced this. Based on Forbes, Villar topped the list of Filipino Billionaires 2024.
According to the richest man in the Philippines, his daughter has already decided and her decision was not because of the pressures from her family but from the clamor of the public.
“Hindi, andaming humihiling eh. Sabi ko pagbigyan mo na,and anyway kami naman ay nakaranas na maging politiko. Wala namang masama maglingkod sa bayan,” he said.
The former senate president also advised her daughter to always take care of the poor as poverty remained to be the top problem of the country up until now. With this in sight, he encouraged her to focus on helping the poor and put an end to this problem.
Senator Cynthia Villar, her mother, vouched for her daughter’s capacity to lead and to become a public servant. She also believed that a younger senator would be a great addition to the senate.
She expects that her daughter will carry on her advocacies as her term will end by 2025.
Senator Mark Villar also believes in the capacity of his sister. He echoed their mother’s thoughts and added that having her as the younger senator, she can definitely resonate and relate with the younger generation.
