It’s been already years since the speculations about Kapamilya host Luis Manzano joining politics has emerged. Both of his parents have backgrounds in politics and it not impossible if he does the same thing as he has figures in his life that can guide him in this field.
In the previous interview, he expressed that he is not ready and does not having any plans to enter yet. He is also not closing doors to this possibility. Recently, in an interview, Luis said he’s ready for politics. If given the chance, he is ready for the public service in the field of politics and not in show business.
His wife, Jessy Mendiola is also in full support if ever he decides to run for any public office in the future.
This kind of talks was revived when he was spotted at a political event in Batangas. He was with his stepfather Secretary Ralph Recto in San Jose, Batangas. It was an event where President Bongbong Marcos was also present. Secretary Recto was reportedly giving assistance to the farmers, fishermen, and families in need of San Jose.
“Kung sakali po na ako ay tatakbo, umaambon pa lang, may ayuda na agad,” joked Luis in one of his posts.
PEP reached out to the Kapamilya host regarding this matter and according to him, he was only there to represent his mother Vilma Santos. As of now, this topic is something that has not been discussed yet within their family. Moreover, he is still doing Rainbow Rumble, a new game show from ABS-CBN.
Previously, he expressed that he is open to politics and if he does run, he wanted it to be purely about serving the public.
