Pres. Bongbong Marcos Speaks on Kris Aquino’s Sons’ Visit to his Wife
BONGBONG MARCOS – The President revealed the reason why Bimby and Josh Aquino visited the office of First Lady Liza Marcos.
It is widely known in the Philippines that two (2) of the biggest political rivals are the Marcoses and the Aquinos. The clan rivalry dates back to when the late former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr. was ousted. He was replaced by the late former President Corazon “Cory” Aquino.
Currently, both the Marcoses and the Aquinos have two (2) family members who became chief executives of the country. The son of the late former Pres. Cory Aquino, the late former Pres. Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III, served as the country’s chief executive from 2012 to 2016.
The late former President Marcos Sr.’s son and currently the president of the country, Bongbong Marcos, is serving as the country’s chief executive since 2022. Undeniably, due to their political rivalry, it is quite a surprise for Filipinos to see the Marcoses and the Aquinos together.
Thus, the recent visit of Bimby and Josh Aquino, the sons of Kris Aquino, to First Lady Liza Marcos came as a surprise to many people. It also sparks curiousity on the reason behind the visit of the sons of Kris to the wife of Pres. Bongbong Marcos.
Recently, Pres. Bongbong Marcos spoke on the visit of Bimby and Josh Aquino to First Lady Liza Marcos. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the sons of Kris Aquino just wanted to thank his wife for helping them in their travel arrangements.
Pres. Marcos said he thinks that it was Kris who needed some assistance and her sons just wanted to express their gratitude. Based on the report, Bimby and Josh brought a box of souvenirs and gifts for the First Lady.
As for how he takes it, according to Pres. Marcos, he thinks that what happened is a fine gesture on the part of the Aquino family. He stressed that the Marcoses and the Aquinos are really on the different side of the political aisle until the presidency of PNoy but they have always been okay although their families don’t agree politically.
The President believes that the gesture of the Aquinos is a more personal gesture and interaction between their families. Based on the report, Marcos also confirmed that his wife and the Aquinos are related so she really knows her nephews.
