Vice Ganda did not reveal this information to his fellow hosts
Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda kept this fact a secret from his fellow hosts in the Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime.
Vice is one of the pioneer hosts of the show and over the years, they went through a lot. When ABS-CBN’s franchise was not renewed, they suffered just like other Kapamilya shows. The pandemic also brought difficulties. Aside from these, internal issues also came up.
Just recently, the show received a big blessing. It is when the historic contract signing happened between It’s Showtime and GMA Network.
On March 20, executives of ABS-CBN and GMA made their bond official for the noontime show. Vice Ganda and his fellow hosts flashed their widest smiles as they were welcomed to their new home.
Just recently, Vice shared a vlog on his YouTube channel featuring snippets of what happened during the contract signing event.
There was a portion of the vlog in which Vice had his “kulitan” moments with his fellow hosts Jhong Hilario, Ogie Alcasid, MC, Anne Curtis, and his partner Ion Perez. He also shared what happened during the contract signing itself.
Then, there was a celebratory dinner after the contract signing event. During the dinner, Vhong mentioned that Vice did not tell them about the negotiation between the Kapamilya and Kapuso executives.
“Imaginin mo, kung alam ko lang ‘yung alam mo, paano ako magtatrabaho? Kaya bilib ako sa’yo,” Vhong said, adding that Vice continue to work as if there was nothing happening behind the camera.
The former Streetboys member said that it was also a good thing that they did not know because it could have affected their work. Vice said, “Di na kayo papasok.” Vhong said that they were live everyday and it would be difficult for them to make their audience laugh if they were thinking about the negotiation.
“Kasi ‘yung journey niito bago magkapirmahan, ‘di namin kinukuwento sa kanila kasi marami siyang alon,” Vice Ganda said.
Then, Vhong Navarro thanked the Unkabogable Star for absorbing everything so they would not feel what the management was going through at that time.
