Police Authorities Arrest 2 Men for Alleged Vape Shop Robbery in Las Piñas City
ROBBERY INCIDENT – Two men were arrested for allegedly robbing a vape shop in Las Piñas City on February 9, 2024.
The suspects were identified as Argie Badan and Junrex Tuyor. CCTV footage captured Badan pointing a gun at the vape shop staff. They reportedly took cash amounting to P70,000, along with a cellphone, tablet, and a watch.
The thieves even took the staff member’s motorcycle, which was only three days old. The victim immediately reported the incident to the police, who conducted a follow-up operation. In the early hours of February 11, Tuyor was traced to the residence of his accomplice, Badan.
As Badan arrived on the stolen motorcycle, the police arrested him. They managed to recover the motorcycle, watch, and cellphone, but the tablet and P70,000 in cash were not found.
According to Las Piñas City Police Chief Police Colonel Sandro Tafalla, the suspects spent the stolen money on a hotel stay and hired the services of entertainers.
Tuyor confessed to the crime, claiming Badan was his accomplice. However, Badan denied involvement, stating he was at home during the robbery. He claimed that the motorcycle was just left beside him by the vape shop staff.
Las Piñas City Police revealed that Badan had prior cases of frustrated murder, theft, and illegal possession of firearms, while Tuyor had a case for carrying a bladed weapon.
The firearm used in the robbery was recovered from Badan. They will be facing charges of robbery and illegal possession of firearms. The owner of the vape shop refused to comment on the incident.
