PHILIPPINE HOLIDAYS 2024 – Here is a full list of the regular holidays and special non-working days in the country this year.

Undeniably, countless Filipinos await the holidays every year. These days can either be additional rest day or an additional pay on the part of individuals who are working. For students, regular holidays cancel classes in schools giving them an extended rest, too.

A lot of people most especially those who are working and those who run businesses have very busy schedule. This usually goes on the entire year and the holidays are the perfect opportunities to get some added rest or to spend time with their family and friends.

Every year, there are several holidays in the Philippines and they usually belong to two (2) popular holiday categories in the country:

  • Regular Holiday
  • Special Non-Working Day

The regular holiday is also called the Public Holiday, National Holiday, Statutory Holiday, and Legal Holiday. It is established by law and it is consistent every year. During this type of holiday, both work in public and private sectors and classes in schools are suspended. The individuals who need to report to work on a regular holiday receive an extra pay.

  • Araw ng Kagitingan – April 9 (Tuesday)
  • Labor Day – May 1 (Wednesday)

  • National Heroes Day – August 26 (Monday)
  • Bonifacio Day – November 30 (Saturday)
  • Christmas Day – December 25 (Wednesday)
  • Rizal Day – December 30 (Monday)
  • Ninoy Aquino Day – August 21 (Wednesday)
  • All Saints’ Day – November 1 (Friday)
  • Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary – December 8 (Sunday)
  • Last day of the year – December 31 (Tuesday)

Another type of holiday that usually takes place in the country is the special non-working holiday. During this type of holiday, work is suspended in both the public and private sectors.

  • Chinese New Year – February 10 (Saturday)
  • Black Saturday – March 30
  • All Souls’ Day – November 2 (Saturday)
  • Christmas Eve – December 24 (Tuesday)
