Jose Mari Chan On His Viral Memes During Christmas

This is what Jose Mari Chan said about his viral memes.

JOSE MARI CHAN – The “ber” months haven’t arrived yet but the singer is already appearing on our newsfeeds featured in memes.

The Christmas songs of Jose Mari Chan will always be a part of PH Christmas. With the start of “be” months now fast approaching, we can expect his songs to be played in every store.

It’s not even “ber” months yet but memes on social media featuring the veteran singer have started getting viral already.

As much as we all know, Chan is a huge part of Christmas in the Philippines for his songs Christmas in Our Hearts, A Perfect Christmas, Mary’s Boy Child, and more. His songs have become the season’s anthem in households, malls, jeepneys, radio stations, and the internet – basically everywhere.

Now, what can he say about these viral memes about him being the symbol of Christmas?

In an interview with Susan Enriquez of “Unang Hirit”, he admitted that he is both amused and amazed by these memes online. He even expressed that he would want to meet the people behind those.

“I really wonder who’s behind the memes, I mean who created those memes,” he said. The singer believed that this started a decade ago.

He added in the interview that he’s just thankful for people who regarded him as the symbol of Christmas in the country.

Meanwhile, in the Philippines, September marks the beginning of the Christmas season. Apart from his songs, Mariah Carrey’s “All I Want for Christmas” is also a mega hit during this season.

Chan, apart from being a singer, is also the chairman and CEO of Binalbagan Isabela Sugar Company, Inc. (BISCOM) and A. Chan Sugar Corporation.
