Boy Abunda reacts to reports about Bimby Aquino’s supposed showbiz plans
King of Talk Boy Abunda made clarifications about the meeting that he and Bimby Aquino had with the management of Cornerstone Entertainment.
To recall, Bimby’s mom actress-host Kris Aquino signed a contract with the talent management firm before she had to go to the US for her medical treatment. Last June, Cornerstone shared a photo with Bimby and Tito Boy.
The caption of the post stated that “Exciting days are truly ahead for the young star!” It also stated that since Bimby is still a minor and his mother is not in the Philippines, the seasoned talk show host will be his guardian.
With this, assumptions that the son of Kris Aquino will pursue a career in showbiz circulated on social media. In a recent episode of Fast Talk, the talk show of Boy Abunda, he made clarifications about this.
Based on the article in Bandera that it was just an “exploratory meeting.” He shared that they talked about the possibility that Bimby could have if he will officially start his career in the entertainment industry.
Tito Boy also said that he hosted the dinner for Bimby. “Totoo po ‘yan na doon sa pag-uusap namin ay we were trying to explore kung ano ang mga pwedeng mangyari—the possibilities. [Kung] pwede bang mag-artista si Bimb, ano ba ang gagawin? But it was more of an exploratory meeting,” the seasoned TV host said.
Boy Abunda also stressed that the meeting has Kris Aquino’s consent. Also present during the meeting was Kris’s handler Tin Calawod.
He shared that right now, the management of Cornerstone is in the US, and hopefully, Kris will be able to talk to them and Bimby as well, who already went back there. The King of Talk also promised the public that he will share an update about Bimby’s showbiz endeavor.
