Chinese National Nabbed for Selling Fake Smartphone in Pampanga
Police authorities arrested a Chinese national for allegedly selling a fake smartphone in Angeles City, Pampanga.
The Angeles City Police Department apprehended a Chinese national who was allegedly involved in the sale of counterfeit iPhones in the city. Based on the report, the arrested Chinese national was identified as Zeng Yunshi.
Brigadier General Jose Hidalgo Jr, Director of Police Regional Office 3, stated that Yunshi is currently residing in Metro Manila. Yunshi was apprehended for estafa during an entrapment operation conducted by Angeles City Station 3 in front of the Jaoville Compound in Barangay Pandan, Angeles City.
According to the police report, a person named “Rachell” purchased a new iPhone 14 Pro Max from Yunshi for P11,000. When the buyer checked, it was discovered to be a forgery. He attempted to reach Yunshi, but he did not respond.
As a result, the victim filed a police report against him. The entrapment operation was carried out when the victim’s friend “Jess” purchased another smartphone from the suspect.
They agreed to meet in front of the Jaoville Compound, and the suspect was apprehended there. Authorities in Los Angeles have taken custody of the suspect. Documents against the suspect have been prepared.
