DepEd Supervisor in Bohol Died after Shot by Riding-in-Tandem to Death
A supervisor of the Department of Education (DepEd) died after being shot by unknown riding-in-tandem suspects to death in Bohol.
The 54-year-old DepEd supervisor was killed after being ambushed and shot by an unknown riding tandem in Inabanga, Bohol. The deceased person was named Noel Duavis, 54, the supervisor of the department in the province’s north division.
The victim was regarded as a decent and diligent person by Inabanga Mayor Jose Jono Jumamoy. Duavis was the father of Mark Johnuel Duavis, who finished tenth in the medical licensure examination in October 2022.

The victim was walking along Barangay Lapacan Sur in the abovementioned town, driving a Toyota Wigo owned by his son, when he was accosted by the suspects, according to a report from the Inabanga Municipal Police Station (MPS). Both suspects were dressed in bonnets and coats.
When the suspects approached the victim’s car, the back rider fired several shots at it before fleeing the area. Witnesses quickly called the police, but the gunman had already escaped before the officers arrived. When responding officers arrived, the bloodied victim was still inside the vehicle.
The responding officers transported the victim to the Francisco Dagohoy Hospital, where the examining doctor pronounced him dead on arrival. The police are currently determining the reason for the crime in order to identify the murderer.
“Thank you for serving the people of Inabanga, especially in our youth’s education. We will never forget your deeds and great love for us,” Jumamoy said.
